ZUG (June 24, 2026) – STOXX Ltd., part of the ISS STOXX group of companies, today announced its collaboration with BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) on the launch of the BNP Paribas Easy European Equity Buffer ETF, BNPP AM’s first defined outcome ETF on European equities.

Actively managed, the BNP Paribas Easy European Equity Buffer ETF aims to provide exposure to European large-cap equities via the EURO STOXX 50® price return index, with a predefined level of downside protection (the “Buffer[1]”) and a Cap[2] on potential upside performance. The levels of the Buffer and Cap are set for a one-year outcome period.

Under the strategy, if a quarterly observation shows the EURO STOXX 50® index up by the amount of the Cap or more, the downside options are automatically cancelled. This is designed to result in a zero-loss buffer and remove downside risk below the initial reference level, provided the ETF was purchased at the inception of the outcome period and is held until the end of the outcome period.

The Buffer is designed to establish a predefined risk profile, enabling more risk-averse investors to participate in market upside while limiting downside exposure. As the Buffer aims to limit the effect of strong market declines during the outcome period, a portfolio including this mechanism would tend to require less returns to recover after a decline.

“We are pleased to collaborate with BNP Paribas Asset Management on the launch of their first defined outcome ETF, which further expands the universe of tailored investment solutions around our flagship Eurozone equities benchmark.”

– Axel Lomholt, General Manager at STOXX

“Today’s launch underscores our commitment to expanding our ETF range to give investors access to more sophisticated strategies. This new strategy will enable clients to capture market upside while benefiting from built in downside protection, thereby strengthening portfolio diversification and long-term stability. We see this type of solution as increasingly essential for investors who demand greater predictability and a sharper focus on risk management.”

– Sabrina Principi, Global Head of Business Development for ETFs and Index Solutions at BNP Paribas Asset Management
