STOXX^® Nordic Total Market ESG-X

The iSTOXX APG Emerging Markets Responsible Indices are a series of indices designed to track and quantify the impact of different ESG, Carbon and SDI constraints and tilts on a broad emerging global market cap index. The weighting of each constituent security is determined through an optimization process that is designed to minimize tracking error to the benchmark while improving the ESG, Carbon and SDI exposures.

The iSTOXX Europe 600 ESG-X Fintech Tilted Index tracks the performance of all of the STOXX Europe 600 ESG-X securities and the 10 largest securities from the STOXX Global Fintech Index, subject to country, liquidity and ESG screens. The index is reviewed quarterly in March, June, September, and December.

Per the ESMA guidelines on funds’ names using ESG or sustainability-related terms, this index meets an 80% threshold linked to the proportion of investments used to meet environmental or social characteristic or sustainable investment objectives in accordance with the binding elements of the investment strategy.

The STOXX Europe Sustainability Index ex AGTAF offers a consistent, flexible and investable representation of the largest European sustainability leaders, excluding companies which generate revenues from alcohol, gambling, tobacco, armaments and firearms. With a variable number of components, the STOXX Europe Sustainability Index ex AGTAF covers stocks from 17 European countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The STOXX Benchmark ESG-X Indices are based on a selection of STOXX Benchmark Indices and apply standardized ESG exclusion screens. The screens are based on the responsible policies of leading asset owners and aim to reduce reputational and idiosyncratic risks.

STOXX excludes companies that ISS ESG considers to be non-compliant with its Norms-based research, that are involved in controversial weapons or severe controversies, are tobacco producers, or that either derive revenues from thermal coal ext have power generation capacity that utilizes thermal coal.

STOXX Benchmark ESG-X Indices are suitable as underlying indices for mandates, passive funds, ETFs, structured products and listed derivatives, with the ambition to increase liquidity and lower the cost of trading.
