STOXX® Global Broad Infrastructure

The STOXX Global Broad Infrastructure Index offers investors the opportunity to access the infrastructure sector globally. The index includes the largest companies according to their freefloat market cap. All companies are subject to a minimum liquidity threshold of USD1 mn and need to garner at least 50% of their revenue from the infrastructure industry, which is divided into five supersectors and 17 subsectors.

The index decreases the risk of supersector and geographic concentration by capping countries at 40% and supersectors at 30%. The maximum number of companies per supersector is restricted to 40, and the maximum number of companies per subsector is restricted to 40 divided by the number of subsectors in a supersector.

STOXX uses FactSet Research Systems granular analysis to determine a company’s position within the infrastructure subsectors of its FactSet Revere Business Industry Classification System (FactSet RBICS).  FactSet Revere is a sector, supply chain, and geographic risk taxonomy expert.
