STOXX announces service agreement with the Federal Republic of Germany on Sustainable Equity Indices

ZUG (July 1, 2026) – STOXX Ltd., part of the ISS STOXX Group, announced today that it has entered into a comprehensive service agreement with the German Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) for the development and calculation of sustainable equity indices for key special funds of the Federal Government and social security systems totaling EUR 23 billion.

The contract covers the construction and ongoing calculation of a new index family specifically tailored to the requirements of government pension funds. The client is the Federal Republic of Germany, acting on behalf of several major special funds.

Under the agreement, STOXX Ltd. is developing two sustainable equity indices:

• STOXX Bund/SV Global Ex Eurozone CTB

• STOXX Bund/SV Eurozone CTB

These indices incorporate ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria and exclusion criteria for sensitive sectors, and align with the requirements of the EU Climate Transition Benchmark CTB.
